North Myrtle Beach Packing List

Visiting North Myrtle Beach is all about comfort and being beach ready! The weather and temperatures in our area change slightly from season to season, so packing is easy. Whether it’s Winter, spring, summer, or fall, we’ve got y’all!  

Winter (December, January, February)  

Winter in North Myrtle Beach is typically drier and cooler. Temperatures range from the upper 30s to the mid-50s, so packing light winter clothing is ideal.   

What should I pack?   

  • A light jacket  
  • Long Pants  
  • Long-sleeved shirts  
  • Warm and comfortable shoes  

Spring (March, April, and May)  

Spring on the South Carolina coast is defined by lower humidity and sunny days, with an occasional spring shower. Locals and visitors enjoy getting out and exploring the area this time of year. Temperatures range this time of year from the low 40s to the low 80s, so packing varies depending on when you are visiting.   

What To Pack:  

  • A light jacket (needed earlier in the season)  
  • T-shirts  
  • Shorts  
  • Sandals/flip flops  
  • Long-sleeved shirts (for cooler evenings)  
  • Long pants (for cooler evenings)  

Summer (June, July, August)  

Summertime is hot and humid. The weather is typically sunny, with a few scattered thunderstorms in the afternoons. Temperatures range from the low 70s to the low 90s. Packing for this time of year is about staying cool and enjoying the outdoors! Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and your shades!  

What To Pack:  

  • T-shirts  
  • Shorts  
  • Flip flops  
  • A pair of comfy shoes  
  • A Hat   

Fall (September, October, November)  

Fall is the best time of year (or at least the locals think so!). This time of year, the weather is sunny but cooler than in the summer. Temperatures range from the mid-40s to the mid-80s. Your suitcase will vary slightly depending on the fall you are visiting.   

What To Pack:  

  • T-Shirts  
  • Shorts  
  • Flip flops (during the warmer months)  
  • Comfortable shoes  
  • Long pants (for the cooler months)  
  • Long-sleeved shirts (for cooler evenings)
